Most people never see what goes into a proper AC installation. They just want cold air - and that's completely fair. But the steps that happen before the system ever turns on are what determine whether you get 5 years out of a unit or 15.

When we install a new system, one of the most important steps is soldering the copper line set. This connects the indoor air handler to the outdoor condenser unit. It has to be done right. A bad solder joint means refrigerant leaks, a system that won't cool properly, and a repair bill down the road that nobody wants.

Here's the part that separates a thorough install from a rushed one - after the soldering is done, we pressurize the lines with nitrogen before we ever release any refrigerant. Nitrogen doesn't lie. If there's a leak anywhere in the line set, the pressure test will catch it. We hold that pressure and check our work. Only once we're confident the system is tight do we move forward.

It's an extra step. It takes more time. But skipping it is how systems end up failing early or losing refrigerant slowly over months without anyone knowing why. We'd rather take the time now than have you dealing with a problem six months from now.

This is the standard we hold ourselves to on every new installation - not just the ones where someone is watching. Whether we're doing a full system replacement or an air conditioner inspection and tune-up, the details matter. That's just how we do the job.
