When a home's HVAC system is due for a full replacement, there's a lot more to it than just swapping out the outdoor unit. A proper heat pump split system installation means coordinating two major components - the air handler inside and the condenser outside - and making sure everything works together cleanly and efficiently. That's exactly what we handled here.

The air handler went in up in the attic, tucked in and connected to the existing duct system. Attic installs aren't the easiest work environment, but getting the air handler positioned and secured correctly up there is what sets the whole system up to perform the way it should. The condensate drain lines are properly piped and routed, so there's no guessing about where moisture is going to go.

Outside, the condenser unit sits on a solid pad right against the home. The disconnect box is mounted cleanly on the wall, the refrigerant lines are insulated and run neatly - it's a tight, professional setup. Nothing sloppy. Nothing that's going to cause a headache down the road.

Heat pumps are worth understanding if you haven't looked into them lately. They handle both heating and cooling using the same system, which makes them a genuinely practical choice for year-round comfort. One system, two jobs. And when the installation is done right, you get reliable performance and better efficiency out of it long-term.

If your current system is getting up there in age or you've been dealing with inconsistent comfort and higher energy bills, a heat pump replacement might be exactly what your home needs. We do this kind of work every day and take the same care on every job - from the attic all the way to the outdoor unit.
